“Mentor” is derived from a Greek mythology and the individual is a character in Homer’s epic poem, The Odyssey. Odysseus was one of the Greek gods who fought in the Trojan War. Before he left he entrusted his kingdom to Mentor, one of his subordinates. Mentor was also charged with the task of teaching and guiding Telemachus, the son of Odysseus.

Thus the concept of mentoring was born long ago and has been embraced by different sectors of the society as a means of providing guidance to any individual with less experience.

MentorEyes™ is an innovative web based mentoring web site that is designed to be user friendly to the young adults (18 years or older). MentorEyes™ has the mission to be the one stop website that will stimulate intellectual growth and development and the vision to be the number one website for e-mentoring, adolescents and adults, for career paths as well as provide guidance and answers to the “inquiring mind”.
